Red Eye: Frivolity … Possibly Not Safe For Work

It’s not that today’s episode of “Red Eye” wasn’t entertaining. It was. The cast was pithy and the guests were humorous.

In fact, my favorite comment came during the Post Game Wrap Up. When guest Bernadette Pauley was asked if her husband asked her to wear a burka, she responded that, if he did, she would comply … then wait for him to fall asleep and set him on fire.

Ah! Good times. Good times.

But the most provocative story to me was the underwear company making “padded” briefs for men to enhance their … egos.

Also, ab shaping cream. Here’s a hint: Shake Weight does not come in a salve form. Man up, boys.

By the way, here’s the link to the padded underwear. Maybe Brett Favre might want to order a pair or two. Double ’em up, even. Just sayin’.

Here’s the thing. When it comes down to it, you are who you are. Want a better body? Work out. Eat right. (You’ll die anyway, but you’ll have fun getting there… hypothetically.) Want to fool your way into the good graces of a lovely (or handsome) partner?

Here is where that madness leads:

No, no. Not to having a baby with a British lesbian. Winding up with a man you thought looked like Mr. Clean, but turns out to more closely resemble Captain Stubing.

At any rate, the basic point is this: it is what it is. Eventually, the truth will out, and if you’re lied, it will make the stark reality all the more harsh.

Alternately titled moral: Don’t make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Red Eye” air date – October 8, 2010. Guests: Bernadette Pauley, Pat Caddell and Matt McCall. Cast: Host – Greg Gutfeld, Sequential Hermaphroditic Sidekick – Bill Schulz and Ombudsman – TV’s Andy Levy

Couldn’t watch the vid (embedding disabled by request?) but I agree with this post. They really push those products on women – Spanx, control-top pantyhose, padded bras, etc. They aren’t going to help you when you are naked!!
